I have a Benchmade knife that I haven’t sharpens since I bought it (7 years ago) and I took it in and the guys did a great job.

Excellent knife. Handles nicely. Cuts clean. People at District Cutlery were quite helpful in choosing the right knife.

This knife is everything I hoped it would be. Absolutely gorgeous, thick at the heel for a Japanese blade. Really nice weight and feel in the hand. First knife I have purchased that came sharpened and I am impressed with the edge. I have lots of experience using and sharpening high carbon steel and I'm very excited to finally have shirogami #1 in my arsenal. Im a cook at a sushi restaurant and at home but this knife is too pretty to use or show anyone yet, so for now I just stare at it in my room, but eventually I can tell it will be my main work horse. Thanks a lot

Expertise and great service keep me coming back year after year. Thanks!

Really well made, well balanced. A joy to use.

Love coming here, fantastic service for a range of knives - wouldn’t trust anyone else.
Prices are extremely reasonable, especially since they will usually turn it around in just a few hours (I’ve always gotten them back same-day).
They also go above and beyond on tricker blades - very pleased.
Finally - they will never charge just to charge - they’ll let you know if your blades aren’t in need of a sharpening.
I have a butcher knife that had seen a lot of love for months, seemed fine but took it in anyway for a look and they gave me an honest assessment - still plenty sharp for butchering, no need to bring it in for a few more months of use.

My knives are like new! Maybe even better. It was easy to drop my knives off at the end of the day, and they were ready by noon the next day. The communication about my order was flawless, the service was wonderful, and I intend to come back when I next need any knives sharpened!

I’ve been using this service for over a year. Ryan is so talented and also his staff. Amazing sharpness on each end every blade.
Quick turnaround as well along with fair pricing.

Have used them multiple times and always a great, sharp knife returns when they are finished,

Great knife! Use it for most of my cooking. It is a great size, great edge, and I am looking forward to my next one!

Factory edge was nice and usable out of the box. I'm satisfied with the edge but some people might want to touch it up. Slightly rounded spine and choil make for some decent comfort, and balance is great.

Best knife sharpener I know.....

Very sharp

Great expertise and care with my knives. Best place in DC for knife care.

Easy to reach and delivered a fast turnaround for my two V10 Damascus Steel knives. One had a large chip in the blade that was ground away. I expected the knife to be significantly shorter after grinding back, but it looked like new! Both are super sharp and ready for 7 more years of use!
