Shipping policy

***Beginning April 5, 2025, Japanese imports entering the U.S. will be subject to increased tariffs, augmenting prices for domestic customers of District Cutlery.***

International customers may face additional customs charges, including local VAT and duties with applicable fees, potentially remitted to regulatory authorities on their behalf to ensure compliance. 

 

Domestic Shipping

Domestic orders valued over $90 ship for free via USPS Priority Mail. Upgraded shipping services may be purchased by contacting us prior to packaging of order.

Shipping via FedEx and UPS is available for purchase if preferred. Arrival speeds vary and will be estimated prior to checkout. Contact us if you'd like to update your shipping.

Typical order processing time is within 24 hours.

PLEASE NOTE:

Once your order is handed over to a shipping courier, District Cutlery is not responsible for any damages, delays, or losses that may occur during shipping. We ensure every item is carefully packaged and tracked, but liability transfers to USPS upon receipt—please reach out to them directly for any post-delivery concerns. Once shipped, the tracking information provided by courier is the same for you as it is for us. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to access more shipping information. Since 2022, we have experienced regular delays with all carriers (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS).

 

International Shipping

Orders marked for International shipping by USPS Priority International will be charged an additional $20 per order. Upgraded shipping services may be purchased by contacting our shop prior to packaging of order.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • As of February 1st 2025 we no longer ship to the following countries- U.K., Japan, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore and Uganda.
  • WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO REQUESTS TO FALSIFY YOUR COUNTRY'S TARRIFF FORMS BY ALTERING / REDUCING THE LISTED VALUE OF PACKAGE CONTENTS. 

Buyer assumes all recovery & restitution responsibilities for lost or damaged packages.
