Your Yanagiba, Deba, or Usuba type blades are in good hands with our professional sharpeners. If your single bevel knives are in good shape with no damage and proper edge geometry, please select this option. Your knife will be sharpened on stones, establishing a small primary edge and proper uraoshi up to 8k grit, finishing on the finest leather and high quality stropping compound.
If your single bevel knife has seen extensive use or is an older blade that has seen its fair share of sharpenings, it may require thinning to be brought back to original edge geometry. This thinning will be done with the utmost care on a belt grinder with the final edge and uraoshi being finished on stones.
