Collection: Hiro Knives
Hiro Knives, crafted under the visionary supervision of Masui Hiroaki, emerge from Seki City, Japan—renowned as the nation’s cutlery capital—where tradition meets innovation. Born in 1944, Hiroaki began forging at age 16, later refining his skills with a design degree from Musashino Art University, which fueled his early focus on high-quality outdoor and hunting knives. In 2006, he expanded into kitchen blades, launching the "Shiki" series through Hiro Knives Co., Ltd., blending exotic aesthetics—like hammered ATS-34 or AUS-8 steel—with ergonomic, custom handles of wenge or keyaki wood. Known for their durability and unique contours, these knives reflect his philosophy: simple yet extraordinary designs that stand apart, honed over decades of passion and precision. Now in his 80s, Hiroaki’s legacy shines through each blade, available in very limited quantities, offering chefs and enthusiasts a taste of his inventive spirit.
