Muneishi Knives, crafted by Muneishi Cutlery Mfg. in Tosa, Japan, have been a family tradition since 1955, now led by third-generation blacksmith Kosuke Muneishi.
Originally focused on forging tools for farming and forestry, the company expanded into kitchen knives under Kosuke’s leadership, specializing in Aogami #2 steel. Each blade is hand-forged using traditional techniques, often featuring a kurouchi finish and stainless or iron cladding for durability and ease of maintenance.
