Yu Kurosaki is a phenomenal young blacksmith, and you can save some money buying a non-forged blade from his factory. The new Gekko profile provides your fingers extra clearance between the handle and the cutting board. Kurosaki recently substituted HAP40 powdered steel for new Takefu VG XEOS steel with a hardness rating of ~62 HRC.

Yu Korosaki  visited District Cutlery in 2018 and performed a forging demonstration for our customers.
